FWGA supports various charities throughout the year through our Tournament Chip-in Jar, Annual Tournament Raffle and Silent Auction.
For 2019, the members of Fore Women Golf donated $5,000 to Girls Golf LPGA USGA.
LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf) is the only national junior golf program that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments for juniors to learn the game of golf. Each of their 415 Girls Golf sites help prepare girls ages 6 – 17 for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game while also inspiring them to feel confident, build positive self-esteem and live active and healthy lives. KMR Golf Academy at Skywest Golf Course is the local Girls Golf site chosen for our fundraising efforts.
For 2018, FWGA raised $6,000 for the ARC of Alameda County. The Arc-Alameda County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering life skills education along with job training and job placement services to some 350 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
FWGA raised $8,463 in 2017 and over $10,000 in 2016 for the charities, The First Tee of the East Bay and Shepherd’s Gate, Livermore.
The First Tee of Oakland is a life skills program which builds the character of youth to help them succeed in life through the game of golf. Participants learn to appreciate diversity, resolve conflicts, build confidence and set goals for their future. The First Tee Golfers join FWGA in a tournament at the end of the year.
Shepherd’s Gate is a Christian nonprofit on a mission to free women and children from the destructive cycles of homelessness, addiction and abuse.

The First Tee of the East Bay Charity Golf Tournament
