Flagsticks that stay in, I play by the rules,
Fairway woods and putters,
Callaway’s and Noodles,
Eagles that fly with the sun on their wings,

Discounts on tee times, I save lot’s of money,
One “Hole in One”, now that would be quite stunning,
A string of good shots, that will melt into wins,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the ball’s lost,
When the shot flops,
When I’m feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don’t feel so bad.

Hi Fellow golfers!! What a great day it was at FWGA’s Redwood Canyon tournament in Castro Valley!! The tournament format was “Willly Nilly”, I admit, it’s a little silly but easy to keep track of the score. We had 22 eager and enthusiastic players and the winners were everywhere!

Low Gross = Jen Shaull with a 95, oh my.
Low Net = Mindi Canner with a 60, giddy up.
Closest to the Pin #3 = Jen Shaull at 44 ft, 4 inches
Closest to the Pin #13 = Junko Nagatani at 5 ft, 3 inches, say whaat?
Longest Drive#10 Flight A = Jen Shaull (I’m seeing a pattern here)
Longest Drive #10 Flight B = Junko Nagatani (I’m seeing a pattern here)

1st Place Flight A = Alleen Hodgkin, Mindi Canner, Sharon Medairy, Terri Maletesta
1st Place Flight B = Kay Middleton, Louise Kennedy, Pat Ludwig, Debbie Butler

2nd Place Flight A = Jen Shaull, Pam Koch, “Julie Andrews”, Ruta Rudisill

Two other awesome notables is that Ruta Rudisill and Mindi Canner shot their lowest gross score ever. YEEHAW!!!!

I personally wanna thank my co-tourney coordinator, Charlotte Moon for Registration and cookies!!! And finally Alleen Hodgkin, our Tournament Director who is hard at work all year for us.
