The original 18-hole golf course at the Silverado Resort (named after the Silverado Mine, a quicksilver mine near Mount Saint Helena) opened 64 years ago in 1954 and is now the North Course. In 1966 the South Course was added. Silverado’s North and South championship layouts are the premier courses of the Napa Valley.
Each course presents a fair amount of water and rolling elevations, tightly manicured greens, and fairways with mighty century-old groves. There is also a full-length driving range with greens to aim for and a huge practice putting green.
