The Villages, a private golf course and country club in the foothills of Evergreen Valley at the southern tip of Silicon Valley, was established in 1967 and was historically an area of vineyards and argricultural estates. It remains a haven of natural beauty. With its generous fairways and minimal, but stragtegically placed bunkers, The Villages is a classic Sinatra golf course, not a torture chamber – “best kept secret in the Silicon Valley.”
The course features a mix of rye, bent and Bermuda grass in the fairways, has only three par-3’s and three par-5’s. The greens are poa annua, which locals tell you everything breaks towards downtown San Jose. Other amenities for our use are the driving range, spacious 18-hole putting green and two separate chipping practice areas.
The Villages has become the hot-spot as a tournament venue for numerous NCGA Associate Clubs based in the greater Bay Area – that be us!
