Tournament Coordinators Recap:

Six foursomes braved the 104 degree heat and survived! The format was “Lone Ranger”, where all players took turns being the “Lone Ranger” on each hole, posting their net score, added on to the next best net score for that hole.

Congratulations to first place winners Alleen Hodgkin, Mindi Canner, Therese Johnson, and Pam Koch with a score of 135. Second place with a score of 138 went to the team of Alice Hansen, Diane Hudson, Kathi Kling, and Suzanne Fong.

Congratulations also go to Masayo Jiang for Closest to the Pin on hole #6 at 35’ 8”, and to Therese Johnson for Closest to the Pin on hole #12 at 5’8”. April Kenyon was awarded Low Gross at 93, and Pam Koch had Low Net at 71. Great job, ladies!

A special shout out to the tournament committee, composed of Anne Cain, who in addition to helping with tournament organization, donated the bottled water and granola bars, to Judith Coleman-Cohen for organizing the pairings and index scorecards, to Natalie Inouye, who greeted participants at the tournament desk, helped with scoring, and provided amazing refreshments for the tournament organizing meeting, and last but not least, a very special thank you to Cindy Barni, who helped tremendously by assisting with tournament planning, monitoring the closest to the pin measurements, raking sand traps, marking balls on the greens, and taking great pictures. A nod, of course, to Alleen Hodgkin for all of her tournament advice and guidance.
