Sunday, April 26 was day two of our Gold Country invitational away tournament. While the weather had been enough of a downpour to cancel the Saturday golf, Sunday turned into a beautiful day for our 28 golfers. We played a Cha-Cha-Cha format and the first place team of Wendy Ngoy, Bonifacio Perez, Kristina Ramos and Sarah Good brought in the low score of 119. Second place went to Kelly Tague, Liz Riddle, Birgit Pearson and Linda Davis with a 126. Low gross was Deb Ortega with 77 and low net went to Kelly Tague with 62. Closest to the pin on #4 was Kristina Ramos at 10′ 8″ and #14 was Liz Riddle at 25′ 4″. No chip ins, but Liz Riddle and Alice Schultz each had two birdies. Julie Campiotti, Sarah Good and Kristina Ramos each had one birdie. Two of our players had personal best ever low scores. Kristina Ramos shot a 79 and Julie Campiotti shot 78. Way to go, ladies! Finally, I want to praise the taco bar that was provided for us after golf. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to finish off our weekend.
