We had an intimate group for golf on Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny day, but with the sun comes the wind and that was definitely a challenge. One of the definite pluses are beautiful views of the bay from all the hills on this course! I have to say Bodega Harbour is a very interesting course.
Starting out with uphill moguls to ending with a boardwalk through the environmental protected area to play holes 16 and 17. You actually unload your bags from the cart and load them onto pull carts for these two holes.
We played a version of Stableford awarding points for net pars (1 pt), birdies (3 pts) eagles (5 pts) and even a rare albatross (8 pts). Winning 1st place with a score of 81 points was Sandy Gonzalez, Mimi Johnson-Jacobs, Ruta Rudisill and Liz Riddle.
Kristina Ramos won Low Gross with a score of 95. Sandy Gonzales won Low Net with a net score of 72 and also had the only birdie of the day. Kelly Tague had closest to the pin.
Thank you all that participated, it was a great day in an amazing place! And a special thanks to our tournament director, Liz Riddle.
