The Copperopolis away golf weekend began on Saturday morning April 27 with 28 players teeing off at Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp. The weather was beautiful and the course in excellent shape. Fast greens, lots of bunkers and some lovely water hazards made it a challenging but fun course. The format of play was a round robin that gave each team member the opportunity to partner with all the members of the foursome. It sounded like a complex format but once we saw the score cards it became clear and lots of fun. Sally Panella and Betty McCabe were the tournament directors, Joan McCarthy and Sue Derby manned the registration table and Kathy Karste took the photos.
