Approximately sixty ladies attended the FWGA 2012 General Meeting at Boundary Oak Golf Course in Walnut Creek. The meeting started with a fabulous brunch and plenty of conversation and refreshments.
Tami Waddell our 2012 President greeted everyone and introduced Kay
Middleton. Kay Middleton introduced all the new members in attendance.Kay also announced the date of her Rules Clinic coming up on May 12th.
Kathleen Clancy followed with details on our League Play opportunities.
Kathleen pointed out that FWGA offers 4 to 5 play days per week. There is something for all levels, 18 and 9 holers, weekend and weekdays. Be sure to click on the League Play section to the right to learn more.
Meg Walsh our 2012 Director of the Emerging Golfers Group (EGG’s) enthusiastically announced her
program for 2012. The Emerging Golfers Group program includes a monthly play date that starts with a one hour clinic followed by 9-holes of golf. The group will also have a tournament on August 19th at Monarch Bay where the 18-Hole Group will also be playing a tournament on the same day. Both groups should be finishing at the same time so all can come together at the end of the day and enjoy refreshments and conversation.

Piper Shaull and Tami Waddell explained the deatilas of the new Club and Players Championship program along with the new leader board which will be displayed at each tournament as well as on this website.
Piper also spoke about FWGA’s participation in the NCGA tournaments and urged individual players to sign up for these tournament.
Joan McCarthy, director of FWGA Events announced this year’s Annual Tournament date and theme.
Betty McCabe, Director of Charities announced this years charities and spoke about the raffle and silent auction.
Our very own member April Kenyon was the featured speaker and spoke to the group about how to play your best game.
April engaged the entire group, everyone participated and shared what they love about playing golf.The meeting was adjourned at 11 am with approximately 30 of the members staying to play golf for the afternoon.
